Kids need medical assistance to evacuate with their parents

Note: This fundraiser is based in Canada, as you all know GoFundMe is not available in the Gaza Strip. I, Sara Aburamadan is raising funds to help my childhood best friend and her children.

Here's her story:

Hi, my name is Ruba al Jamal. I’m Palestinian from Gaza. I’m sure many of you are aware of the deadly situation happening in Gaza.

I’m frantically requesting financial assistance for me and my family who have endured unspeakable hardships in Gaza. As it is under constant destructive bombings, we were forced to evacuate more than once, and we ended up displaced in Deir- Al Balah living in a tent next to a horse stable. However; when me and my kids want to sit in a shaded place away from the brutal sun we go sit in the horse stable, and this stable is also used as a place where my kids are playing.

Compared to our life before the genocide where I had my own house, and my kids had their own bedrooms, where we used to have a life, and my kids went to school. There’s no safety that I can provide to them that is just making us more helpless.

I have three children; Rayan (10 years old), Julia (7 years old) and Mohammed (1 year and a half). me (Ruba Al-jamal) and my husband is Ammar Abu Shaaban.

Rayan suffered from Hepatitis A due to malnutrition and water pollution.

As for Julia, she suffers from panic attacks. Coming to Mohammed, who is a year and half old, he suffers from panic attacks and various diseases. Due to the continuous bombing, it’s causing him to lose consciousness for a period of no less than 10 minutes. They were asked to undergo a head planning examination, and there is no emergency for children; so far they have not been able to perform the examination because it’s not available. In addition, a week ago, he was diagnosed with Entamoeba Histolytica and a severe skin disease. Also to mention that he has pharyngeal tonsils in which it causes suffocation and it must be operated urgently but despite the catastrophic situation there are no medical capabilities due to the difficult situation in hospitals.

My house, along with my dreams, memories, and hopes were reduced to rubble. The once lively streets are now silent, haunted by memories of anguish and fear. |

Since this genocide started in October 2023, we’re still suffering physically and mentally. My husband, kids and I need to go to safety as soon as possible. We are in a dreadful situation.

It’s so terrifying seeing what’s happening to us with these brutal actions, dehumanizing us and there’s nothing in your hand or ours can be done.

I extend my gratitude for your support to us during this disastrous time.

Please help us leave the Gaza Strip to seek medical treatment for my kids.

“The money you donate is going towards our evacuation fees at the Egyption border as they are still charging thousands of dollars, it’ll go toward us buying the necessities such as food, clothes, clean water, sleep somewhere safe after evacuation and for my youngest son's surgery.”

*The money donated will also be transferred from Canada to Turkey where my family resides. It’ll be around 65,766 USD as it’s more common to use in the Gaza Strip rather than the Canadian dollar. And It'll be received at the nearest Western Union.
