Kiera rigby heartbreaking story

Hi my name is Kylie , I’m seeking help on behalf of my dear friend for her daughter and son in law

Today at approximately 12.30 pm kiera who is my god daughter and also 37 weeks pregnant suffered a severe seizure which lead to her becoming unconscious, during the seizure Kiera’s body took a fair beating which caused her placenta to tear and bleed which lead to kiera having an emergency c section,

because the seriousness of the seizure both mum and bub was without sufficient oxogen for a period of time

currently bub is on way to Royal Hobart on a ventilator , while mum is currently at the lgh in ICU on a ventilator and will remain sedated for the next few days so her body and brain can heal

as you can imagine it’s a difficult time for Kiera’s partner Steve as well as Kiera’s mum tania who is torn where they need to be so im

hoping to help with the financial burden of having to travel between hobart and Launceston

if anyone can help in some small way I know without a doubt the family would be so appreciative especially Tania she is always the first to help others in this situation just hope there is enough kind people to help her in return

kiera has just had a CT scan and it’s shown she has had a bleed on her brain she is currently getting airlifted to Hobart for surgery

kiera also has a 5 year old who will be staying with family so funds will also be for her care and trips to hobart while her mum and baby sister are recovering

update 25th feb

kiera has not long got out of surgery , turns out she has an aneurysm

kiera has been taken back to surgery this first surgery this morning was to relieve pressure build up on Kiera’s brain the second surgery is to fix the aneurysm,

26/2/24 4pm

today we got some good news baby Kali has come off the ventilator and is being supported by a bi pap which means she is breathing on her own

kiera underwent surgery yesterday to clamp off her aneurysm they tried doing this by going up through the groin but that was unsuccessful so they had to open her skull , they managed to clamp it

this morning that had to take her back to surgery as there was to much bleeding in her artery which can happen But not usually to about day 5 or 14 She is still critical but very hopeful ,
