Teen needs help for medical bills and equipment

This is Kk. One of the sweetest and nicest kids you’ll ever meet. On February 21, 2023 just after midnight this family experienced something no parent should have to go through. 17 year old Kk attempted to end her life after being bullied and tormented. Kk ended shattering her pelvis and lacerating the uterus which required emergency surgery to repair. She will need 1-2 more surgeries in the future. To add to the matter, on the way to the hospital mom’s brakes and axle were damaged beyond salvage after hitting something in a construction zone costing just under $800. Which left her savings low.

Kk will require many months of physical therapy as well as extensive mental health help and therapy. Which means a lot of work will be missed to get her to and from appointments. Kk has been discharged and being home has come with challenges and complications. She has required a specialized wheelchair and medical equipment around their home and it’s not wheelchair or medically accessible for the medical equipment she needs. The family needs all the help they can get since insurance only covers some of the medical bills and equipment and the family is responsible for the remainder including medical equipment that insurance refuses to cover.
