Kristi's Funeral Arrangements
Donation protected
The world lost a beautiful woman, inside and out, this past week. Kristi Nicole Rexrode Ford was a beloved daughter, sister and mother. She was a warm-spirited, independent woman that left a positive impression with everyone she met.
When I first met Kristi what I noticed immediately was her sense of independence and her warm, caring spirit. Even at age 23 she had already been in the work force for almost a decade. I could tell within the first couple of dates that this was the woman I wanted to marry and start a family with.
She had a natural maternal instinct but was told early in life that the possibility of bearing children was slim to none. What a blessing it was to defy the odds in 2012 with our precious son, Gerald Thomas. I had never seen her so happy until the day the doctors handed her our son and said, "Congratulations, you're now a mother." I relive this moment every day in my mind.
I also discovered that she was an amazing writer and artist. She would write to me in the form of stories and masterfully crafted poems that always lifted my spirits when I would have rough days. Her poetry painted such illustrious pictures and told the most beautiful love stories that still resonate with me today. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
The details of Kristi's funeral arrangements are still being worked on and although Kristi and I are no longer married, I am fully prepared to shoulder the financial responsibility associated with her passing. I have created this GoFundMe site as a means to possibly alleviate some of the cost, as well as a place to share any donations that you may want to contribute to her final processions.
Thank you so much for your time and interest in reading this explanation. I hope to know more in the next coming days and I will update this post when I know a final dollar amount.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
