The LI5 Unity Team is looking to raise $35,000 to provide professional attire for Fedcap's NYC underprivileged youth ($18,000) and refurbishing The Soulalem, a Moroccan elementary school ($17,000) .
UNITY COMMUNITY DAY - for Fedcap's NYC Youth

Education and Mental Health Day
UNITY COMMUNITY DAY is a day of empowerment and education by providing career development exploration and services to 60 students. The Day would include three components:
● Work-Readiness Training
● Networking Practicum / Mock Interviews
● Providing a wardrobe of professional dress for 60 students (FUNDRAISING GOAL: $300 per student = $18,000)
In addition to the activities listed above, scheduled classes and workshops will be going on at different times in cooperation with Fedcap.org , NY City Parks , Vibrant.org , NY City Health and Mental Health Awareness and Yoga by Niko. Individuals in the LI5 community, the mental health, and education communities will work together to lead workshops, classes and activities in their respective expertise.
Each year, Fedcap offers an array of services through its four practice areas; Education, Workforce Development, Occupational Health, and Economic Development—helping more than 100,000 individuals graduate from high school, obtain vocational certification or a college degree, become work ready, obtain meaningful employment and achieve economic well-being. Fedcap's Young Adults Services (YYAS) provide services to older youth aged 16 -24. YYAS programs provide a wide array of services designed to equip and empower youth with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
ONCE WE HAVE PROVIDED THE 60 STUDENTS WITH PROFESSIONAL DRESS, FURTHER FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TO:

The Soualem, Morocco Elementary School
One of our very own LI5 team members lives in Morocco with his family and the funds we raise will go directly towards the school's renovation project, an initiative that was created by his teenage son.

Showcase for a Cause: A Masquerade Fundraising Event
A masquerade evening of performances, dance and silent auction.
Entrance: $20: purchase here and enter "SHOW" in notes or cash at the door.
Saturday, May 4th, 8-10 AM at Central Park (We will meet at the Park Entrance at Fifth Ave and 84th Street)
FUN RUN With Top NYC Performance Coach, Angelo Grinceri
Health & Wellness Event
Join NYC Top Performance Coach, Angelo Grinceri for day of Fitness, Food & Flowers!
Switch things up next weekend and spend your Saturday by meeting new people while getting fit, eating great food and planting beautiful flowers!
We will begin with 1 lap around the reservoir, followed by a killer circuit of push ups, pull ups and squats.
We wont stop there, Angelo will then lead us on a run South through Central Park and down to Union Square, where we will feast on healthy delights from Hu Kitchen.
Once we are refueled and recharged, we will head across the street where we will take part in the Union Square Beautification Project, by planting 500 flowers in flower banks along 14th Street.

SCHEDULE AS FOLLOWS:
9am - 9:30am: Check-In!
9:30am - 10am: Run, Central Park Reservoir
10am-10:30am: Pull-ups, Push-ups and Squats!
10:30am-11am: Run South through Central Park to Hu Kitchen (78 Fifth Ave)
11am - 1pm: Healthy Brunch at Hu Kitchen (Brunch not included in ticket cost)
1pm - 3pm: Plant 500 Flowers Along 14th Street!
WHERE DOES YOUR DOLLAR GO?
$500- Provides one complete outfit for a youth (suit or blouse/skirt, shirts, tie, shoes/accessories, and monogrammed portfolio) AND school supplies and text books for a class for a full school year.
$400- Funds tiling for a refurbished bathroom at The Soualem school in Morocco.
$150 - Buys two student desks for a classroom in The Soualem school.
$100 - Shoes and accessories for one youth.
$75 - A pair of shoes for one youth.
$50 - A shirt and tie for one youth.
Any donation over $50 grants you (one) 1 ticket to both the Masquerade Event (April 25th) and the Health & Wellness Event (May 4th).
