LIFE SAVING RADIATION THERAPY FOR MUM,ALICE KINYUA

Donation protected
In 2002 my mum Alice (72), was diagnosed with a Carotid Body tumor to her right side. Over an 11-hour Surgery was completed and 3-days in ICU the team said that they only took a certain percentage of it out and that more than 50% still remained. They did not think she could ever talk but her Faith in God made miracles happen and she was able to talk eventually after much speech therapy. Some of her nerves were affected so she chocks sometimes when eating, her voice is hoarse, cannot hear out of the right ear and her tongue is deviated to the left. There was the risk that this tumor would re-grow per the doctors which is happening right now. It is pressing onto her carotid artery therefore obstructing her blood flow to the brain. Some of the symptoms she is experiencing is unsteady gait, near syncope, falls, low oxygen levels, nerve pain, numbness, decreased vision, dizziness, headaches and extreme fatigue.
Here recently she fell at her grandson's football game and had to be transported to the ER. The doctors at Providence Hospital, KS where she was admitted for 5 days they said she needed to see her Primary Physician  because there is nothing much, they could do for her and to go ahead and schedule an appointment with Neurology and ENT. Truman Hospital Neurology said they couldn't do anything for her, so they referred her to Vascular and after a team of 8 doctors met, they felt her case was too complex because of its location-it's pretty close to the skull.
They went on to send her referral to the University of Kansas (KU) hospital vascular. We went for the appointment very hopeful but to our disappointment, they gave us the same bad news. More surgery would affect more nerves and it is very risky due to the location of it. He did however refer us to radiation oncology within the same hospital (I should point out that her tumor is benign). The team was awesome and very compassionate. Thankfully a place that might remedy this. They said they could do radiation 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Being self-pay however the cost is $66,080 and all of that has to be paid upfront. There is no way we can afford this owing to the fact that I am the only source of income.
Kindly if anyone is able, no amount is too small, just so that some of the symptoms can subside and she can go back to doing what she is loves-Preaching the Word of God.
