An estimated 10 million people in England regularly exceed the Chief Medical Officers' low-risk drinking guidelines, including 1.7 million who drink at higher risk and around 600,000 who are dependent on alcohol....
By the age of 12 in 2003 I had opened the door to legal and recreational drug use and by my late 20s i was dependant on alcohol.
Not only was I was self medicating using alcohol to cope with life stress, it brought me to a dark place mentally and even physically.
Through the years of my addiction I had been hospitalised, imprisoned and even had to seek professional help.
Not only did my own life get affected but my close loved ones around me including my children was affected but the addiction had its hold on me.
Through it all I graduated University in 2012, maintained work from the age of 16, Lived up to fatherhood responsibilities but there came a point in early 2023 I was remanded and my mental health had hit a all time low.
However going through this experience and God helping me I came to the enlightened state that I am a alcoholic and I need a higher power to strengthen and simultaneously work with my Will to stop also.
I am in recovery and next month marks a year since I had my last drink.
I started going to AA meetings, Alcohol Workshops, Self Awareness Courses, Studying Counselling, and Peer Mentoring.
Many people as stated are stuck in this cycle and I want to raise awareness aswell as a brand to help those like myself in recovery, to support individuals with addiction to break the cycle but also to combat this 'Drink Culture' in the UK.
Living'S'Lifestyle is more than just a brand of Bespoke Headwear, its a change of life, a tool against addiction and an enlightened thinking method.
The funds will be used to kick start this community venture, marketing, manufacturing, distribution and tackling alcoholism.
Living'S'Lifestyle will change lives, save lives and create a better life as it has been doing for me.
