Lainy McFarland was a loving person, daughter, sister and friend. She passionately cared for and rescued animals. Lainy was an engaged Veterinary Science student at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW Australia. Everything Lainy did, she did with love.

Lainy's life ended on the 25th of May 2016 at the age of 22. Lainy is deeply loved and missed by her family, friends, fellow students and coworkers and by members of the community who are grieving her loss.

Lainy's mother, Laura McFarland wants to carry on Lainy's rescue mission and commitment to animals in her honour.  One of Lainy's beloved rescue organisations Albury Cat Rescue in Albury, NSW Australia desperately needs funds to build a cat enclosure to house the rescued cats. The organization operates on donations alone. Your donation to the Lainy McFarland Memorial Fund will pay for the cost and construction of the cat enclosure. The managers of the Albury Cat Rescue will honour Lainy by naming the cat enclosure Lainy's Place.

The loss of Lainy at the age of 22 is a devastating tragedy. In her daughter's honour, Laura wants to carry on Lainy's spirit of service and dedication to animals. It means so much to Laura that so many people want to honour Lainy. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
