La'Shaud Kirkendoll is a 19 year old tramatic brain injured child. He was born a normal healthy baby. At the tender age of 4yrs, La'Shaud became sick with a cold and was over dosed by his pediatrician at that time. La'Shaud stayed in a comma for 30days and when he did wake up, he was no longer that normal child. He was paralyzed from his neck down and having seizures. However, through a lot of therapy, surgeries and the grace of God, La'Shaud has overcome alot of struggles. This incident has left him with limited usage of his hands and balance with his legs, non-verbal where he has to use a communication device and seizures. The doctors at Children Hospital only gave him 24 hours to live but La'Shaud is still here 15 years later, with his sweet bubbly personality still intact. He knows no strangers, La'Shaud parents was un-successful with filing a lawsuit against the doctor. Moreover, the journey of taking care of him has been a big financial burden on his parents. His mom had to leave her job to take care of him. His father a disabled Navy Veteran now, but at the time of this incident he was an active duty military person, He had to leave our family to serve our country as part of Desert Storm/Shield campaign. It's been an up and down battle but the Kirkendoll's has tried to keep La'Shaud's life as normal as possible. They take him to football games, escort him to his prom & other parties and take him to other events that they think will bring joy to their son life. La'Shaud has been a true solider throughout his stuggles in life even though his life isn't like your normal teenager. La'Shaud has expressed to his parents that he would like to take a Disney Cruise and visit Disney World Resorts for his graduation. This trip for La'Shaud and his parents will require alot of special accomdations because he is a special needed child who uses a wheelchair. The Kirkendoll's would love nothing more than to grant La'Shaud his graduation wish but they can't afford it. So, we're asking for your help to make La'Shaud graduation wish come true. 100% of the proceeds will go towards taking La'Shaud and his parents on a Disney Cruise and a visit to Disney World Resorts. The parents of La'Shaud Kirkendoll would like to say "Thank You" for your support in making La'Shaud Graduation Wish come true.
