As community organizers in the Los Angeles area, we've witnessed firsthand how the recent wildfires have devastated our neighborhoods, with Latinos bearing a disproportionate burden of the impact. These communities are the backbone of our local workforce, yet they often fall through the cracks of traditional aid systems. Many families have lost homes, belongings, and their sense of security. Some are staying with relatives in overcrowded conditions, while others are struggling to maintain their children's education and daily routines amid the displacement.
This reality has compelled us to launch this targeted recovery fund.

About Latino Wildfire Aid
We are a grassroots volunteer network born from a group of Angeleño friends who wanted to bring awareness to and build support for Latinos affected by the fires throughout Los Angeles. What started as a simple directory has grown into a commitment to support our community both, in this moment and as long-term recovery needs evolve. Our first goal is to use our collective networks to advocate for the families and individuals in our directory seeking aid via crowdfunding platforms. Secondly, to engage trusted resource partners who can support in addressing ongoing service needs.
Our organizing team includes: Pete Corona, Jess Morales Rocketto, Mishel Prada, Curly Velasquez, Ashley Aguirre, the team at Latinx Therapy and additional community leaders.
