Let's talk a bit about my cancer journey, what immunotherapy is and why I have researched and decided I need Dendritic Cell Treatment to get rid of my cancer.

In 2020 when I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, the Virginia Mason team performed robotic surgery to remove the tumor. When I was scanned after the surgery, it appeared that they had cleared the margins. (aka, no evidence of disease) However, I needed more information about how and why, I got the cancer. This is when I began expanding my knowledge about the human immune system.

I took a deep dive into the metabolic state of my body and how to best support its terrain. I learned that the body's terrain consists of over one hundred trillion cells. I knew that just removing the cancer would not be enough. I needed to do more, I needed to make my body an environment that is inhospitable for cancer. I started exercising, changing my diet and lifestyle, and working on understanding the internal terrain of my body. This was great for my overall health and well-being.

This year, when they found the new tumor, I had already been proactive by advancing preventative care practices and had been seen by many doctors. Most of them practice modern conventional cancer treatments, but I also saw several doctors who work in the integrative medical community as well. Unfortunately, most of the integrative clinical visits and prescribed remedies and treatments are not covered by insurance. However, I am undaunted, and to get my questions answered and make my body’s terrain a cancer-fighting machine, I have found the right people to help me with my quest. Now let me share about Immunotherapy and how I got to the point I am at today:

I was tested for the current FDA-approved immunotherapy offered in the USA. Unfortunately, I did not qualify because my tumor did not have the qualifying marker. This was very disappointing, but I knew there would be another answer, something that would come my way.
