Kiryn's College Fund/Leah Meushaw's Memorial
All of the funds that are collected will go towards Kiryn's educational needs. Kiryn may choose to go to college or a trade school, but whatever she chooses, we know that Kiryn’s future education was very important to Leah and is also very important to Kiryn’s dad, Jared.
Leah returned back to her creator’s loving arms on January 16, 2020.
Leah was very outspoken about her recovery from addiction and she was always a huge advocate and encourager to others she knew who were struggling. Her joyful spirit was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with.
Leah was sober and had found freedom in Christ from drug addiction! She regularly attended Celebrate Recovery meetings and she was actively working her recovery like a rockstar.
She was hopeful of regaining custody of her baby girl from Dept. of Child Services, but after receiving disappointing news during her last court hearing on January 16th, she was overcome with exhaustion and grief and in a moment of despair she took her own life.
We want to be transparent about this and in her honor, remind everyone that if you are facing grief or feelings of hopelessness, please tell someone and reach out for support from the people who love you, your communities recovery groups or a counselor. It’s ok to not be ok, and it’s ok to admit it and ask for help. Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.
We have peace knowing that Leah recently gave her life to God and she had recently been baptized as a public profession of her faith. Leah was outspoken about her recovery and her gratefulness to God for a second chance at living a life that glorified him. She reflected God’s love everyday in how she loved on and treated those around her. Her beautiful smile and spirit will be missed.
Please pray for her family and give what you can to support Kiryn’s education.
