Preston Williams 07/13/1991 - 10/06/2024

Preston Benjamin Williams, known as the "Fresh Prince of Albany," beloved father to his 10 year old daughter, Leilani, and everyone’s friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 33. He was an amazing person who loved his family deeply and touched everyone he came in contact with!

In June 2017, Preston was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent two open-head surgeries in Florida. He beat cancer TWICE and he continued to bring joy, happiness and God into everything that he did. He moved back to Albany in 2022 and immediately got back to working in his community and helping to mentor whoever he could. He began working at the Boys and Girls Club in Albany, so that he could help to lead the youth in a positive and healthy way. He received the news that his cancer had returned in 2024 and began his fight again up until his passing. Preston’s decline happened rather quickly and his death was very sudden, as things changed over the course of a weekend. His family would like to send him home to God in a manner that he would be proud of, and we are asking for help from his community that he was honored to be apart of. Let’s show up and show out for Preston, like he would for all of us!!
