Lend Izaak a Hand

Hi there, my name is Izzy and I’m here fundraising for my cousins, Izaak and Vera.

A few days ago they were in a terrible car accident. Izaak was driving his sister and his dog Jack home when a still unidentified driver swerved into his lane unexpectedly. His effort to avoid the other vehicle resulted in his car rolling 3 times until the vehicle was left in a ditch and smashed against a tree. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle which caused the accident slowed their car but did not stop and eventually fled the scene after seeing this unfold, making it a phantom hit-and-run.
Both he and his sister were injured but are grateful to be alive. Devastatingly, his dog Jack did not survive the crash. He is especially heartbroken over this loss. It’s a miracle that their injuries are not more extensive considering the severity of the accident and the fact that the airbags failed to deploy. Izaak and his sister Vera were lucky enough to make it out of the wreck with injuries mostly caused by the windshield glass caving in on impact, which required stitches for both of them but could have and should have been much worse.
However lucky they were to walk away from this they are now left to deal with the aftermath. The hospital was unfortunately neglectful in treating their wounds and released them with many pieces of glass still lodged in their bodies. His sister's right arm was most impacted by the glass and she’s currently stuck living with the glass while she waits for her body to expel the shards on its own. They are coping as best as they can under the circumstances.
He is missing his college final and work due to the accident and is suffering greatly over the loss of his beloved dog, Jack.
Izaak is one of the most caring people I know and would do just about anything for anyone, never hesitating to offer a helping hand where needed. His love for his dog was something truly special and it is so heartbreaking to imagine how he must feel over the sudden and tragic loss of his best
friend.
I’m starting this fundraiser in the hopes that we can help him cover some of the resulting expenses and a down payment for another car whenever he is emotionally ready to drive again. I want him to know how greatly loved he is and to feel supported during this difficult time.
