Saving Leonard The Kitten
Donation protected
On July 10, 2017, Woodbury Animal Control received Leonard, a 7 week old kitten with major mouth trauma. After the veterinarian's examination, it has been determined the injury was likely a result of animal abuse. This type of injury would be the result of a firecracker. The kitten's bottom jaw is completely shattered which will require multiple surgeries to repair. He will always have a physical handicap, but they are hopeful to get him to the point where he can eat properly. Unfortunately, this shelter does not have the funding to pay for these surgeries. Their cat program is mostly run on donations and there are still many more kittens at the shelter. Leonard needs constant care and he will have a long, painful recovery. Every donation is extremely appreciated, without the help of others, Leonard can not get the medical care he so desperately needs.
