Dear Friends & Family,
On August 2nd my sister Lesley was in a car accident. Due to a malfunction with her jeep, she lost control and crashed into a concrete pole at the intersection of Saunders and Bartlett in Laredo, Texas. God and His angels were truly watching over her becuase it could have been much worse. She suffered two fractures to her left arm, and her left hand was crushed. The damage to her hand is the most severe. Her hand had broken bones, tears in the muscle, deep cuts and severe skin damage. She was in the hospital for five days in San Antonio where she underwent 3 surgeries on her hand. She has since gone back several times to have more work done on her hand. She has pins in her hand, & the next phase will be to perform skin grafting (they will remove skin from her thigh and use it on her hand).
If you know Lesley, you know that she has the heart and spirit of a champ. So she has been facing each surgery with so much bravery and positivity. My sister is modest and does not want me to go on and on about her.. as I love to do. But allow me this please sister, you are resilient, truly giving and beautiful inside and out. And you are loved by sooo many!
She is receiving great care and support from her girlfriend Sara, daughter Cassie, my Mom and Dad (Eva & Robert Dunn) and all her siblings. I created this fundraiser on behalf of myself and the rest of the Dunn Family.
Any amount you can contribute will assist Lesley with the expenses of her recovery. As a thank you gift, my dear friend Crystal Shannon from Dose Apparel has offered to help screen print some of Lesley's art onto shirts. You will be mailed, or hand delivered a shirt for any contribution over $25. Lesley is really excited about creating these shirts. Once again ART is lifting her spirits.
