Tim Lester's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On May 22, 2018 Tim Lester was involved in a life changing accident on Interstate 64. He suffered from a crushed ankle, broken leg, broken arm, broken pelvis, several fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. He is currently in the care of the wonderful nurses and surgeons of Norfolk General and has had 3 surgeries thus far. The impact of the accident is going to prevent him from returning to work for 4-6 months, possibly longer. Kelley will also miss a considerable amount of work due to appointments and therapy sessions.
During that time he will have daily therapy sessions to help regain his strength to make a full recovery. Tim's accident has not only impacted his family but also the lives of many around him. While many people take their day to day lives for granted this has showed us reason to appreciate more. A reason to love more. Its given people a reason to turn to God and acknowledge his presence.
The Chesapeake Fire Department and three good samaritans stood in Gods place the day of Tim's accident and contributed to saving his life. We dont see them as good samaritans but more so as heroes. They truly helped saved his life and the future of his family. Their acts of bravery and heroism will forever be appreciated. The Lester's are going to accrue many medical bills from the expenses of his hospital stay, co-pays and therapy visits. Any money gathered from their community of family and friends will be used towards medical expenses to move forward with recovery.
