Help support Tia's surgery & recovery

If you know Tia, like we know Tia, oh, oh, oh what a gal! Let's help to keep her smiling! Here is what's needed and how we can help:
In August 2018, Tia was diagnosed with Chrondrosarcoma - a malignant bone cancer in her jaw. Luckily, the cancer has not metasticized but it must be removed immediately. A portion of her fibula bone (from her leg) will be transplanted into her jaw. Did you know the jaw is one of the most used bones in the body and endures great pressure and stress? Her surgery is scheduled December 20th, and estimated to take 10-12 hours. The initial recovery will be a 12-week period, with a full-year until she is completely healed. During this time, she will need additional help simply getting around and doing the things we take for granted; like eating, wearing heels, working on her feet for long periods of time and simply walking as her balance will be affected. Please consider checking in with her, texting, calling or spending time for companionship and loving support.
We aspire to provide monetary assistance for peace of mind to cover her additional health insurance costs, medical bills, and monthly living expenses while she is in recovery since she will not be working.
The surgery required is called Mandibulectomy and free-flap reconstruction. Here are some links about her condition and the surgery if you're curious. Tia gave us permission to share this information, so please re-post or share in any way that you feel would help to carry this message of support for Tia. Thank you.
