Let’s help Jeff Bower and his family out!!

Donation protected
Muswellbrook local Jeff Bower and his family needs our help.
Jeff who works at the power stations for the past 25 years and played for the Muswellbrook Cats, South’s Cricket Club and Muswellbrook Sharks has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given days or weeks to live.
Jeff’s biggest fear is the financial burden his illness is having on his loving wife Kelly and his children.
Jeff has gone through a lot after being misdiagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Vasculitis which went to his lungs just before Christmas. On January 27th they were informed by a specialist that it was in fact lung cancer even though they had previously been told it wasn’t cancer. By early February Jeff was losing weight and was back down in John Hunter Hospital. At one point the family was told he would not last the weekend because of the cancer and clots in his lungs but Jeff fought through. Doctors then though that with radiation Jeff might have a chance of survival but sadly on Wednesday Kelly and Jeff got the sad news it was terminal. The Palliative Care team gave Jeff 6-12 months but sadly yesterday after speaking to the doctors at the Mater Hospital, it is likely Jeff only has days or weeks to live.
With Jeff no longer working and Kelly using up all her leave and sick days to be with Jeff in his time of need, I’m asking anybody and everybody to donate anything they can.
