Hey there, world!
We are a group of 18 year old American girls studying in an amazing seminary in Jerusalem, Israel. We are looking to make a real difference in the lives of the incredible people we’ve met here in the Holy Land.
Here’s the story: Last year, one of our sweet staff members, Mrs. K, had a daughter who became a bride! Having ten children, Mrs. K had no funds to pay for the wedding. Her husband isn't working due to a disability, and so she works as a cleaning lady in our dormitory to put food on the table.
As a school, we gathered together and raised over $10,000 to help pay for her daughter's wedding. We were successful in taking part in both making and attending the beautiful wedding that made both Mrs. K and her family so incredibly happy and we consider it to be one the biggest highlights and accomplishment of our year. This year, another one of Mrs. K's daughters has recently gotten engaged! Unfortunately, their situation is still the same but we are just as eager as last year to do whatever it takes and make yet another wedding happen.
Just so you understand how badly this family would appreciate your donation: Mrs. K once mentioned that if she just had 5 dollars for a few dozen eggs, she would have something to feed her family for an entire week.
In short: We need your help! Any donation will help pay directly for Mr. K's daughter's wedding or cover any other living expenses that the new young couple may have.
