Help a Father of 3 fight Multiple Sclerosis
Donation protected
Tony has been living with Multiple Sclerosis over the last 4 years. What started as occasional symptoms soon escalated as Tony went from being fully capable to unable to stand; needing help with just about everything. He has been on 3 different costly medications: Betaseron, Tysabri and Ocrevus. These have ultimately all proven ineffective for Tony, as his symptoms continued to worsen.
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, also known as "HSCT" is an innovative procedure that has been proven to be highly effective in STOPPING MS progression and even RESTORING many lost physical abilities. Many individuals have actually made a full recovery.
The HSCT procedure is not currently offered in the United States, nor is it covered by health insurance here. HSCT is currently performed in many other countries such as Russia, Mexico, Canada and Israel. The cost of HSCT is actually similar in each country offering the procedure. Currently $100,000 covers cost of the procedure, a 24/7 caregiver for the 28+ days needed for it, as well as necessary travel expenses.
Tony is urgently on the verge of being disqualified for HSCT, due to his state of physical limitations from MS. Recently, after a video interview on 10/18/19 with the one of the Clinic’s Doctor’s he was given a final appointment date of March 2, 2020. The funds were initially due on December 2nd, however the deadline has now been extended to February 2, 2020. We pray this is merely a setback. Without your help, Tony cannot make it on his own. PLEASE DO NOT allow this heinous disease to beat our dear friend, father, son and brother...Tony!
There is still much that Tony plan's to do after recovering from HSCT:
-Continue a diet to prevent MS from reactivating
-Consistent physical therapy to strengthen himself as best as he can
-Return to work
-Travel with his kids
-Resume creative hobbies of playing local trumpet gigs filming content for his YouTube channel “Movie Fiber”.
MS has preventing Tony from all of the activities that he loves. He is rarely able to go outside of his home because of the discomfort and logistics involved. The disease is currently not doing damage to his neural communication, HOWEVER it is keeping him down physically. TONY WANT'S AN DESERVES A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE, please help him in this crucial fight.
