Help 'Limo 2 Cure' give free rides to Cancer Patients

Donation protected
I am a TRIPLE Cancer survivor who is giving back by providing free cancer treatment tranportation for patients.

I recently inherited my father's 1990 Cadillac Limo and wanted to find a way to give back. My wife suggested offering Cancer Patients transportation to their treatments. One of the most challenging caregiver tasks, according to my wife, was scheduling my 50 arsenic & 39 radiation treatments to/from Baltimore. We found the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program. I took the training, became a certified driver, and started providing rides. I continue to attend ACS events & fundraisers speaking about my cancer experiences and promoting the Road to Recovery Program.

The donated funds will be used to repair and maintain the Limo. Funds so far have been used for the safety inspection, radiator replacement, rear drums, alignment, lights, gas & other safety items. The limo is now inspected and drivable.
The immediate need is:
AC Repair
Rear heater blower
New tires
Vinyl top
Rear panel bumper fillers

Please consider a donation and only give what you can afford.

As a survivor, I know the added stress of organizing rides to appointments and thought using my limo with the Road to Recovery Program would be a great way to ease that burden of the caregiver and provide something positive during a difficult journey.

TRIPLE Cancer Survivor
My story: I was diagnosed in 2009 with APL, a rare form of Leukemia, resulting in 50 arsenic treatments along with several other chemos. A few years later I needed more chemo and 39 radiation treatments to fight throat cancer. I now continue to deal with skin cancer.
The key to my determination and survival was my caregiver and the love of my life, my wife Jenn. Her positive support and unrelenting supervision of my care are what drove me to remission. I also received exceptional care from my doctors at UMMC and the love and support of family and friends.

Goal: To Brighten a Cancer Patients Day
My experience with medical treatments and long journeys drove me to want to provide a positive memory in the middle of all the pain and stress that cancer patients and their caregivers endure. I was reminded of this when I read the story of 'Limo Bob', who took his fleet of limousines and gave every person at a nursing home a free ride around Chicago. I have always loved helping others and being a cancer survivor with a unique vehicle I thought this would be a wonderful way to give back.

About the Limousine
My limo is a 1990 Cadillac Brougham d'Elegance 4-door with a length of 18'. The car was converted to a limo by Moloney Coach Builders and used in a nightclub business in Kentucky. The limo was then sold to the owner's brother-in-law in Ohio, from which my father purchased it.  The passenger area has room for 6, a TV, radio, privacy glass, cooler wells, accent lighting, and climate controls.
