Long Ashton's Scout Hut
Welcome to Long Ashton! It's a truly special place with bustling shops, lovely pubs, brilliant parks, a thriving community centre and just about the nicest people you could ever hope to meet.
We've also got a big bunch of brilliant Beavers, incredible Cubs and super Scouts (not to mention an army of very special volunteer leaders and helpers making it all possible!)
And when they're not busy forming lifelong bonds, building budding characters and learning important life skills in a spirit of camaraderie and togetherness, you'll see them out and about picking litter, scrubbing graffiti, doing odd-jobs for less-able locals and much more besides.
But here's the thing...
Since the old scout hut on Providence Lane was deemed unfit for purpose several years ago our local Beaver, Cub and Scout groups - all local community girls and boys between 6 and 14 years old - haven't had an HQ to call home. Some congregate at Birdwell Primary School, others at Northleaze Primary, and the only times they cross paths is at Remembrance Day Parades and other important community events.
Let's change that, and build a place where Long Ashton's young Scouting superheroes can come together and call home. Not just now, but for generations to come.
Thank you for your support!
