We are excited to announce LongLiveJJ.com is now live!
Thank you to everyone that has supported us in this journey to fight heart maladies and to those who have continued to celebrate and tribute JJ Facey. We have learned so much about Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM) but we now know there is so much more to uncover to explain what happened to JJ and caused his passing on August 19th, 2024. Our findings months later have led to other causes that remain under investigation.
By sharing his journey, we aim to highlight the urgent need for comprehensive health screenings to protect young athletes and prevent future tragedies. JJ’s legacy compels us to prioritize health and empower families with knowledge and proactive care. We will continue to actively support, raise funds and advocate awareness for pre-participation evaluations and screenings for young athletes, HOCM remains a formidable adversary along with many other facets of health.
JJ’s story is "To Be Continued." Please join us at LongLiveJJ.com and on Instagram at LongLiveJJFacey7 -
JJ Facey lived from February 17th 2006 to August 19th 2024, 6758 days, 2 hours, 33 minutes. Not long enough. We will not only ensure that JJ has a full celebration of life, but that his legacy will live on forever.
JJ was beloved by all who knew him. He was kind, athletic, courageous, inspiring, gentle, smart, loyal, loving, handsome, bright, STRONG, competitive, humble, dedicated, honest, gracious, family oriented, outgoing, brave, polite, calm, patient, vibrant, charming, funny, happy, stress free, impactful and always lived life to the fullest. His smile would light up a room. Why so many words? Because he was so many of these to so many people. An amazing young man who exemplified all of these things we have described above. #LLJJ
