Rebuilding Our Home After A Fire
On Monday May 22, 2017 Someone started our family home on fire, and left our 13 yr old son inside to deal with it. Though the State's Attorney's office chose not to pursue charges, our lives still changed forever. We were unable to carry homeowners at the time, as our tiny family was doing it's best, but barely able to scrape by from day to day. We are so blessed that no one was injured, but we now have a lot of work to do to rebuild our home and our lives.
Our children lost more than their sense of safety that day, they lost everything they had! From the material things like clothes, toys, and electronics we all take for granted to the memories and treasures they hid in boxes in the corners of their rooms. Though the fire didn't reach every crack and corner of our house, it's damage is evident in every direction. What fire didn't burn, the water, smoke, and soot destroyed. We are doing all we can to start covering up all the darkness that has taken over our house and our lives.
We know that everyone is struggling these days, and that every penny counts for all of us, but we appreciate anything you can spare, be it time, donations, or money. We aren't picky, and don't need expensive things, we just want our house to be a home again. Thank you for taking a moment from your lives to show interest in our family, and thanks in advance to all that have already reached out to us.
