On 5/2/2019 I suffered a ruptured Brain aneurysm.  My husband was home luckily when this happened.  I was home pulling weeds when I stood up and heard loud sounds in my head.  I fell to the ground, crawled up the hill to the deck and yelled for my husband, who was in the backyard.  He came up to the deck and we immediately went to  Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.  They expedited me to C.T. scan.  The doctor came into my room and delivered the terrible news that  I had a ruptured brain aneurysm.  I was on a helicopter to Stanford shortly after  hearing the news.  I got to Stanford and they observed me for a while before placing a drain in my brain to release pressure from the blood and spinal fluid building up in my brain.  15 days later I suffered an ischemic stroke due to a vasospasm in my brain.  The treatment for the aneurysm was a procedure done to coil the aneurysm and seal it off.  Much rest is needed for my brain to heal.  The funds from this gofundme are needed immediately.  Both of us are off work.  My husband is a full time student and is on unpaid leave from work to care for me.  We have 2 young children. I am also off work, waiting for disability funds to come in.  Bills are piling up and the mortgage is due.  We are stressed out.  We were not prepared for this, but nobody can prepare for something like this.  It’s sudden and scary.  Thank you for thinking of us during this time of need.
