So, let me tell you all a brief story......
In 2008, I was in school studying Medical Billing & Insurance Coding, and I had a teacher who gave us a very mind-provoking assignment.
We had to write our own obituaries.
At first, I struggled so much with writing my own obituary, it sounded morbid and I just felt like my words were way too powerful, thinking of the most negative outcome would come true. I felt like writing my own obituary meant I was gonna die, like soon after. The assignment called for everyone to write two obituaries, one as if you died the next day and the other, as if you lived a long life.
To make a long story short, the obituary about my long lived happy life, stated that I had many accomplishments, one being a bad ass yoga instructor. At the time, I wasn't even practicing yoga, had never even tried yoga, just knew deep down inside that teaching yoga was calling my name.
When I began to delve deep into my spiritual journey, teaching yoga showed up in so many ways, a reminder of why I'm here on this earth. Teaching yoga is my soul lesson, and soul purpose for deepening my practice, strengthening my connection to my higher self and my relationship with GOD, as well as sharing my soul lessons and experiences through empowering others.
Right now, among other things (I'm a Jill-of-all-trades), I teach kids yoga. Yes, I was blessed to become certified to teach kids yoga! I am so grateful to have started teaching yoga to children first, because it's so different from teaching adults. Children want to absorb everything you teach them, as long as you make it fun and at first that was a challenge to me because I approached teaching yoga as if I were teaching adults. I'm am now able to adapt to teaching all levels of children, and spirit says it's time to take a step further and teach adults. It came to me like it was some divine lesson or path I had to GROW through to finally be in alignment to teaching adults.
I need your help! In order for me to teach in studios, own my studio, or just be recognized by the Yoga Alliance, I need 200hrs of yoga teacher training.
I hope that you connect with my story and see that really, it's not just about me trying to raise money to take a yoga teacher training.
Your contribution into my spiritual journey is bigger than that. Your contribution, in any amount, is a seed into my journey, to help others develop awareness, calmness, empowerment, creativity, abundance, inspiration, LOVE, self-LOVE, BIG fun, and therapeutic healing to others through my yoga practice and teaching.
Your contribution will forever be appreciated!
I'm excited to teach you all in the near future!
Namaste!
