Family is everything. As parents we pray for our childrens health and happiness. We want for them to have a happy future, to reach their dreams and help give them the tools to be sucessful in life.
July 2011 we welcomed Luke Dylan to the world. Our hearts grew with a love so deep. As the years went by and his personality took hold, we fell even deeper love with this boy.
October 2015
came and our lives were forever changed again. Luke began to regress from being fully potty trained, had extreme thirst, and was excreting excess amounts of urine. A hospital stay later we found he had Diabetes Insipidus, his little body was not able to make enough anti-diuretic hormone. The doctors attempted to regulate this with medication. Lukily we found a great support and a great medical team for Luke that specializes in this very rare form of diabetes. That team, however would do further testing in April of 2016, discovering a lesion on his pituitary gland. Although it is not likely cancer, the treatment includes undergoing regular follow ups and in our future is a year of chemotherapy. Monthly visits to a hospital out of the city we live in by 300 miles. We do not even blink twice in giving him the tools and care needed to manage this disease. Quickly adding up are the medical bills from specialists, medications, hospitals, travel. By far our request is for positive thoughts and prayer. If however, you are able to aide in these expenses anything is greatly appreciated.
We know this is the beginning of a long journey and we thank you so much for being a part of our teamLukie.
