Luke is a 7 year old Lhasa Apso/Terrier mix. He is a very serious dog, loves to cuddle, boss humans around and ride a shopping cart all around Home Depot.
Luke and I have been through a lot together, he came to me while I was recovering from cancer and he was there for me after a heart attack, through cardiac rehab and a bunch of other health issues. When I rescued Luke they told me he had a heart murmur and last year he was diagnosed with pulmonic stenosis. Pulmonic stenosis is a congenital defect characterized by the narrowing and obstruction of blood through the heart's pulmonary valve. If Luke gets too excited or runs too much he collapses. Because it is congenital I can't get insurance for him.
Right now he is on meds to help with his blood flow and he really should be monitored on a regular basis, including regular echocardiograms. Ideally he should have surgery, however it is very costly and out of my reach. I would love to get a second opinion but again, financially not feasible.
I am asking for help to pay off his existing medical bills, pay for an echocardiogram and get a second opinion. If surgery is the only alternative, then I will need help paying for that.
Please, won't you become part of Luke's pack and help us work through this?
