Nursing Students for Humanitarian Aid

Donation protected
Thanks for visiting everybody! This is the official GoFundMe campaign for the Missoula College Dominican Republic Humanitarian Aid Group. In May of 2020 after the semester ends 10 nursing students, under the supervision of licensed nursing faculty, will return to the D.R. to work with a Haitian community orphanage that serves 90 children and some of their family members.
The community has little to no access to healthcare services. As a group, we will be providing well-child assessments and health education while treating issues such as asthma, ear infections, skin infections, high blood pressure and diabetes in both children and adults. In addition, we hope to offer obstetrics and gynecological care.
This unique opportunity will allow us, under the supervision of the licensed nursing professionals, to utilize our skills and compassion to care for people in extreme poverty conditions. Donations are being sought to aid in transportation fees and medical supplies we will bring to the orphanage with us.
