Help Support Mohammad & Rona (Afghan Refugees) in the US

Donation protected

Dear Friends,

My name is John and I live near Allentown, Pennsylvania. I'm writing to share a story that's close to my heart, one that embodies the resilience, determination, and hope that define the human spirit. It's about an Afghan family of five who, with Mohammad and Rona at the head, against all odds, found their way to Allentown, Pa. in as refugees. Due to their extended family in Afghanistan I have chosen to be as careful with their identity as possible. Their journey has been marked by challenges, but also by unwavering perseverance and a commitment to building a better future for themselves and their children.

I have had the privilege of becoming close to this remarkable family, and I've been deeply inspired and involved by their journey of adaptation and growth. From day one, they have embraced every opportunity to learn and thrive in their new home. Despite the language barrier and the complexities of navigating a foreign system, they have excelled in learning English and have shown remarkable aptitude in learning financial literacy – a new skill set and one that many of us take for granted, but is crucial for success in our country.

But here's where they need our help. Like many families starting anew, transportation is a significant barrier for them. In many cases it limits their chance of success. Without a car, their ability to access job opportunities and fully integrate into their community is severely limited. That's why I'm reaching out to you today – to ask for your support in raising funds to provide this family with the means to purchase a car and one year of insurance to help them face to the correct direction on the path of empolyment and financial success.

With your donations, we'll be providing Mohammad and Rona with a used Toyota Corolla/Camry (or similar) and one year of insurance, ensuring reliable transportation as they build their new life in America. With a car, they'll be able to maximize their potential to succeed. They'll have the freedom to commute to work, access essential services, worshop, and participate more fully in their new community. But it's not just about practicalities; it's about empowerment. By giving them the tools they need to navigate their new life with confidence and independence, we're investing in their long-term success and helping to break the cycle of adversity.

Already, this family has demonstrated an incredible capacity for resilience and determination. Back in Afghanistan, Mohammad played a crucial role in supporting and aiding our servicemen, risking his life and his family's life. Fleeing their country they left everything they owned except their clothes and everything that can fit in a large duffle bag. Now, it's our turn to support them as they rebuild their lives in America. With the challenges they've faced, they've remained steadfast in their commitment to learning, growing, and contributing positively to their community. They've shown us the true meaning of friendship and trust, and they've reminded us of the boundless potential that lies within each of us, regardless of our circumstances.

Right now, let us show them that they're not alone – that we stand with them, ready to support them on their journey to success. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Together, we can help provide this family with the opportunity they need to thrive in America and to continue inspiring those around them with their resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit.
Thank you for considering this cause and for your generosity. Together, we can make a difference for this wonderful family.

*The picture above was the only one I had of them wearing traditional Afghan attire. I decided to blur their faces due to family still living in afghanistan

Warm regards,
John S.

P.S. This will be up for as long as it takes to achieve this goal! If enough of you are interested I will set up a live Q & A on youtube if it is even the difference between a $1 donation and a $5 donation, just comment and I will make this happen.
