Flagler’s MLK Day Celebration & More!

The Martin Luther King Jr. Parade is an annual event that has brought Flagler community members together for many years.

Mark Anderson, founder of the Flagler Dream Keepers, has a dream to make each celebration bigger and brighter than the previous year with intention of strengthening unity within Flagler. He also plans to expand Dream Keeper events throughout the year to provide opportunities for people to connect and make our community stronger.

Mark and his small team that make up the Dream Keepers, have filed for 501(c)(3) status to help make this dream become a reality, but acquiring this status takes many months. The Flagler Dream Keepers are planning the 2024 celebration which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and need your help.

Donations raised will not only pay for the food, drinks and supplies used for traditional events such as the free-of-charge prayer breakfast and kids lunch on Celebration Day, but will also go towards serving Flagler's youth, elderly, and veterans at other events throughout the year!

Other expenses include radio, TV, and newspaper advertisement for this years Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, as well as future events, and special speaker fees, such as travel reimbursement and hotel accommodations.

In an effort to provide transparency, the Dream Keepers will provide regular updates with purchases made to make the 2024 MLK Celebration that best that it can be.
