MRH Critical Thinking Maker Space

My name is Mrs. Schondelmeyer and I have had the pleasure to work with a bright young man named Jacob.  Jacob, a 6th grader, is spearheading a project to bring MakerSpace to our school, Maplewood-Richmond Heights Elementary.  

MakerSpaces can be used to help foster critical thinking skills in today's learners to help prepare them for life after school. 

All money raised will be used to fund material aquisition for the MakerSpace.  Many different types of supplies will be needed such as wood working materials, electronical components, crafting items, coding instructions, etc.  

Jacob has done much research on today's learners.  He feels strongly, and we agree, this MakerSpace will help push the critical thinking skills of the students at MRH to better their learning.  Also, this space will evoke more interest and engagement in the learning environment.  

We are a district that is constantly evolving.  Our staff works tirelessly to do what is best for kids.  This is what is at the forefront of our hearts and minds as we work.
