Maddie and Rocky were great companions. Rocky would always find a way to crawl in your lap, whether there was room for him or not. He was also the first to sound the alarm if he heard a noise or thought there was something amiss.
Maddie, on the other hand, just wanted to play, have fun, lick faces, and play some more. She never met a stranger, and she thought that everyone just wanted to throw a ball or stick for her to fetch.
Maddie and Rocky made a great team and were the perfect match. They loved the place they lived in and the people that shared that space with them. They even loved the cat of the house, Siam.
Their home was large and secure. They had an outside sanctuary too. Just outside of the apartment was a large second story deck with a custom climate-controlled doghouse. Below the deck was a massive fenced in dog area with grass and trees. They were living their best life.
Everything suddenly changed for Maddie, Rocky and their people on September 3rd, 2021.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office used a falsified search warrant to perform a commando style raid on a metal recycling business downstairs. They also performed a warrantless, forced entry search in the apartment on the second floor.
They pointed their assault rifles at the female resident and then made sure she was watching when they shot Maddie and Rocky for fun while she frantically begged them not to. The officers called them trophies and relished in the killing. Afterwards, the heartless KCSO bullies laughed at the girl and made fun of shooting her dogs. It was an exciting highlight for them and they probably still brag about it.
Their jubilee didn't last long though. Backup security cameras caught the detectives talking about pretense. The cameras then showed the cops planting evidence in the business area downstairs.
Hours later, one of the cameras was discovered, but it was too late for the KCSO. The camera was streaming to the cloud, and the footage could not be intercepted.
The KCSO immediately went into cover up mode and silence. They lied about the presence of body worn cameras and refused to provide any evidence for the alleged crimes until the case was all but dropped a year and a half later. Then, the KCSO political pressure focused on the DA and defense attorneys. It was more than they could handle. From that moment forward, the defendants found themselves alone.
The local media got involved and discovered that multiple officers participating in the commando style raid were not state certified (P.O.S.T.) to perform police work, which is a crime in violation of state statutes. The media also reported on the body cams present that continue to be lied about. Everyone thought the exposure would bring justice to the case, but the state just doubled down with silence and intimidation.
The Sheriff's department created a huge problem for the state. Everyone unfortunate enough to be involved wish they had never heard of this conundrum. As the assistant DA, Bill Bright, stated in court, "The State's in a bad position, and this has gone on long enough". Regardless of his admission, the State continues to shield the KCSO. The case remains open more than 3 years later, with no resolution in sight. There is too much liability for the case to be dismissed and the state refuses to go to trial. Unnecessary delay and plea deal coercion continues to be the state's only strategy.
The Coalition Against Legal Misconduct (C.A.L.M) is pursuing accountability for the endless and continuous Civil Rights violations being committed by the state of Tennessee against its citizens. As you can imagine, the professional fees and expenses are enormous. Contributions will be spent on legal fees and representation in pursuit of accountability regarding the many civil rights violations affecting the victims. Funds will also be used to provide financial support to the victims until a legal resolution is achieved.
Livelihoods have been eliminated. Bankruptcies have been filed. Homes have been lost. Families have been torn apart. Childhoods have been needlessly destroyed. Nobody is helping victims and nobody is holding the responsible individuals accountable. We're changing that. Now.
Join us now in our relentless pursuit of justice. Let's fill this war chest and go to battle for our Civil Rights. A win for one is a win for all. Maddie and Rocky would not have it any other way.
Welcome to the Mad Rocky Club. Stay C.A.L.M. about it and rest assured...we're gonna win this fight.
