Made Space Seattle: Black Art, Culture, & Business

Made Space Seattle is an Arts & Culture Hub. The project is in the process of raising funds to open a space in Seattle in the coming months. This space will focus on highlighting Black creatives and entrepreneurs and providing them with resources, space, and visibility. Made Space is all about creating connections and building community through art. This project is important because in an ever growing city and particularly in a gentrifying neighborhood, space becomes the highest commodity and biggest barrier for many creatives and small businesses. Its also important because as the landscape of small businesses changes to being heavily internet based, access to a shared physical space can meet the needs of growing businesses and those who find themselves between virtual and brick & mortar.  These funds will be used in addition to our own personal investments to secure 6 months of rent for our new space. This allows us as a team to focus on BUILDING UP and maximizing the value of Made Seattle is all of our creative and small business partners. It gives us time to get feedback from our community on what YOU want to do and see in this space. And it gives us time to make this project as monumental of a movement as we envision it will be!
