We're fleeing Florida and we need help

My family (myself, my husband, our 15 year old, 2 dogs, 3 cats) are leaving the only home we ever wanted to be in, and we need help.

My husband is trans and Florida is limiting health care, basic human rights, and protections for the LGBTQI community.

The bills were signed into law and they directly impact adult Healthcare. Trans adults all over Florida are losing access.

Dr's appointments increased from once every six months to once every ten days. 80 percent of the offices supporting care are forced closed. The 20 percent that are still open are also declining care.

Limiting access and increasing cist requirements is the least of the issues we are facing.

Every day we face new fears and new adversities. Our home sale is not profiting enough for us to leave.

We need help to get out of Florida but with out animals and a 15 year old, we can't all go in a hotel or quick apartment.

We really have no other place we want to settle. So we're doing everything last minute and with a sense of urgency for safety.

We've purchased a truck and now we're going to sell our home and find an RV.

How can you help?

Donations: We didn't plan to leave Florida ever! This is going to be hard to do, but it's a much-needed change.

We have to find new doctors. New housing. We have to move out of state several states away just to be safe.

We invested everything we have in our current home.

We need help with moving expenses, setting up in a new place, food, gas, shelter etc.

We aren't sure how to afford this change and we know we can't do it alone.

The ACLU is tracking anti-LGBTQI legislation - and we are over 400 in the country right now.

Even though our story is done in Florida, so many people are here that still need help, and will be affected by these changes. Please do what you can to spread awareness for all of us.

We still have our memories.. and we will move forward together as a family.
