On Sunday, February 26th, Keith Den Hollander was away from home in Marshall, MI at a convention in Las Vegas, NV. He was having intense headaches and became sick to his stomach. He went to ER and they discovered a thrombus (blood clot) at the base of his skull. He now is in the ICU.
Yesterday, February 27th, we were able to take Keith's wife Rebecca and their infant daughter Isabella to the Detroit Airport to go be with Keith.
These are Keith's latest words, "I am incredibly humbled by and grateful for the outpouring of prayer, love and support from so many of you during this tremendously trying time!
I know that I have a lot of unreturned phone calls, emails and messages, and I will try to get to all of them as I feel able to.
As of my last CT Scan, the 2 clots haven't shrunk, but neither have they grown. The Drs continue to try to find the right balance of drugs to thin my blood to just the right viscosity. I remain in the Surgical ICU, with some hope that I might be able to step down to the Intermediate Care Unit tomorrow, if things improve. From there, it would be another day or two there, and then move to a standard room.
All that to say that we could be here for a little while, which adds significant logistical and financial stress to an already stressful situation.
We would appreciate your continued prayers, and have full confidence that our God, who has never let us down, and delights in answering the prayers of His people will continue to provide for all of our needs."
Keith and Rebecca's other children are home in Marshall. The situation is hard on all of them and Keith will not be able to travel for some time. Would you please help us raise the funds to help cover the costs of uniting the family and getting Keith better and eventually home. WE NEED TO RAISE THIS MONEY QUICKY TO REUNITE THE FAMILY!
I am one of Keith's many friends that are striving to make this situation better than it is. Keith makes a difference in so many people's lives. We sure would like to see him helped back!
