Car for Ministry

We are Cole and Kristin Malphrus and we are church-planters seeking NoPlaceLeft in Costa Rica.
Recently Cole and I have been praying through possibly doing a fundraiser to get a more reliable car for the ministry and our life as family on mission. After spending more than $3,000 in repairs on our car, a 2001 Azuzu Rodeo (which is only worth around $4,000-$5,000), we've decided that to be good stewards with both our money and our time requires us to at least "knock on the door" as scripture says and seek help towards funding a new vehicle for ministry. We ask that you prayerfully consider giving towards this need.
We use our car for ministry in the following ways:
-driving to meet new believers for follow ups
-going into multiple areas to share the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches
-to help those in need
-to meet international partners throughout Central America who ask for training and assistance
-training other churches
We also need our car to fully function for family emergencies, since we live in a more remote area of Costa Rica, with the nearest hospital being an hour and a half away. In August we will welcome our daughter into the world, and would like to have a much more reliable car by that time.
In Costa Rica there is a 70% tax on all vehicles, thus the reason for this large amount. We plan to combine the amount of selling our current car to the $10,000 we're trying to raise to buy a car that's both reliable and cost-efficient.
Our goal is to have these funds raised by August, a short time frame, but we serve such a BIG God. If it's His will, we'll have the funds in time for Baby Malphrus to enter the world, and can begin to work towards selling our current vehicle to combine the amounts to purchase something reliable.
We ask you to prayerfully consider giving towards this need. It is urgent, and isn't a request we make lightly.
