Mamasayang orphanage

Hello friends! I hope you are doing well. I am at my first stop in an orphanage in Jakarta and i have to say it is quite moving experience. There are 60 kids in the house and many of them are from Papua. In most of the cases the parents were very poor so they could not afford having them, or the mothers were raped or one of the 2 parents was dead. You don't really see any drama around. The kids are very happy and they seem to feel secure and enjoy their lives here. However the living conditions in the orphanage are very poor. The founder is a scottish guy who passed away few years ago and now the house is run by his wife who is indonesian. They try to do their best but funding is very tough nowadays. They have some sponsors but they run out of money quite often. There are many opportunities and ways to help but one that caught my attention is that they don't have a washing machine. So the kids have to wash their clothes by hand. They do not really run out of food but they eat mainly rice. Unfortunately meat is a big luxury . So I am kindly requesting you to support in case are interested. If we collect a reasonable amount I will try to buy a washing machine otherwise I will give it just for food or to pay the electricity bills that are too high.
