Mann Family - Handicap Bathroom for Scott
Donation protected
If you live in Greensboro, North Carolina or have ties to the area, you are likely to know the Mann family or someone close to them. Mrs. Kim (Coppage) Mann has served as a pillar of the Brooks Global Studies community for three decades, while her husband, Mr. Tim Mann, is a Laboratory Technician helping to lead quality assurance for Evonik Stockhausen.
The pride and joy of the Mann home is their son, Scott. Born in 2008 with a rare condition known as spina bifida, Scott is now a growing, soon-to-be teenager, and in need of a handicap-accessible bathroom on the first floor of the Mann home in order to enjoy the privacy and independence that all young people crave.
Beloved by his peers and adults alike, Scott has an immediate impact on nearly everyone that he meets. His smile lights up a room and his kind spirit will warm your heart. Despite his limited mobility and multitude of medical issues, Scott’s compassion for others shines through on a daily basis, and his genuine concern for others in need is unmistakable.
There is no doubt that Scott’s kind and selfless spirit originates from his loving mom, Kim Mann. She has dedicated her life to her calling as an educator in the public school system for 30 years while also remaining fiercely devoted to her family. Kim has displayed absolute selflessness to her students, co-workers, and school while still balancing her role as “Super Mom” to Scott, ensuring that he receives the highest level of care, support, and love. Her generous and warm spirit has lifted countless people up in their times of need and she constantly makes others feel appreciated.
And there would be no fabulous Mann family without Tim! You can certainly see Tim shining through Scott. Tim is always there to offer support and encouragement to all. His giving qualities are surely the reason that Scott cares so much about those around him.
We would love to honor the Mann family during this holiday season by helping to raise funds for a handicap-accessible bathroom to benefit their son, Scott! Please consider contributing to this cause for a wonderful family and deserving young man!
