Marathon for a Paws!
Tax deductible
On April 13th I'll be running the Jersey City Marathon to raise money for an organization that holds a special place in my heart - PAD PAWS Animal Rescue. This incredible organization that I volunteer for works tirelessly in Jersey City to give a second chance at life for cats in need. But they can't do it alone. With your support, we can make a real difference in the lives of the cats of Jersey City.
Why I'm Running
Why did I decide at the age of 37 to attempt my first marathon? Because I’m crazy, of course. But also as many of you know, I have always had a true love for all animals. PAD PAWS is an organization, run and founded by passionate animal lovers, that not only rescues the most difficult cats from the most difficult situations but also helps find them loving forever homes. Our three cherubs wouldn’t be safe in our home if it wasn’t for PAD PAWS.
The work they do is inspiring, and I want to support them by running the Jersey City marathon. Training for and running a marathon, it turns out (!!), takes a huge amount of time, energy and sheer willpower… I don’t fundraise often, so please give generously, if you can.
How Your Donation Helps
Animal rescue is expensive and because PAD PAWS specializes in seniors, cats with injuries and hard-to-place cats, their costs can be unpredictable and particularly high. Emergency vet visits, diagnostic tests, and dental care runs in the thousands, while simply maintaining a senior cat’s medicine and food supplies in a foster home also adds up.
Thank you for supporting PAD PAWS Rescue, and for helping me make my first marathon even more meaningful.
Your support means the world!
