Marcie.
My wife of 27 years. My Wife, My Love and Best friend. Marcie's compassion to achieve her PhD in Sociology has put her on a 16 year journey. Over the past 4 years her grades have been phenomenal. Recently she has had the chance to write her dissertation, with the help of her committee. She has hopes to defend her 'dissertation' and achieve her dream of PhD of Sociology. Her anticipated Graduation is to be held in December.
On August 14 2016 Marcie went to relax and enjoy with her family at Carters Lake. We had fun all day. About 4 pm she was reluctant to get on a tube that would be towed behind a boat, but got on 'it' as a gesture of fun with family and friends. She got on the tube and rode for a while before she and her daughter hit the side of another boat. Her daughter was bruised but not injured, unfortunately Marcie's neck was broke in 2 places and her forehead received 40 stitches. She now is healing but cannot work and may not be able to afford to graduate. She was supposed to begin teaching at Georgia State University beginning on August 21st. This position was supposed to pay her last tuition and graduation expenses as well as some living expenses. She needs this help, but just for a little while, for I am sure her strength and audacity will enable her to overcome any obstacles in the future.

I am sure the medical bills may also impact her life as well. I believe Marcie is worth investing in; simply because she is a wondrous, wonderful and high achieving person with a big heart.
