Marco Prozzo: A Man Worth Fighting For
Our adventurous, stylish and compassionate friend, Marco Prozzo, was diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2020. Not only a talented photographer and true artist, he’s the friend you want in your time of need-- the giver of hugs and good counsel, the one who will sit and let you talk for hours celebrating your ups and soothing your downturns with loving advice.
His motorcycle has been sitting idle awaiting the next road trip that he so fondly anticipates with his “biker” friends. Not long ago you might have passed Marco on his way to work on his electric bicycle. An ardent dog, music and nature lover, he finds solace visiting Cannon Beach (Oregon) for its open space, fresh air and light with his wife Shaun and their dogs Cassius and Atticus. In his artwork, Marco sees and portrays beauty in his everyday surroundings along with effortlessly capturing the essence of those of whom he photographs. Check out Marco's work as a creative photographer at his website (www.marcoprozzo.com) or follow his Instagram feed.
This past year, Marco has battled courageously against the initial tumor, but is now at a downturn. Until now, he was working as a commercial photographer, continuing through his illness in order to keep up with the bills but recently had to stop. The cancer symptoms have accelerated and he has moved into palliative chemo.
This fundraiser is to help Marco and his wife Shaun cover the debts associated with prior and ongoing treatment, replace Marco’s lost income and provide financial support for Shaun. We organizers (Peter, Helge, Mehdi and Jon) will update Marco’s status as information becomes available.
Please help support a remarkably kind soul who truly makes the world a better place. No donation is too small. Large donations are infinitely appreciated. We organizers are here to help - if you have any questions about how to optimize your donation, don’t hesitate to reach out! (See the first update for our contact info.) Also, please help us spread this message to help Marco and Shaun: use your social media channels and any other means to extend this outreach.
These are extremely difficult times for our dear friends and we very much appreciate your support.
