Marcus funeral, celebration of life ❤️

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah (Marcus's mum) I'm looking to raise funds to help with the cost of Marcus’s funeral (celebration of his life) Marcus was only 33 years young when he unexpectedly went to sleep for the last time on the 20th December 2024. To say this was a shock is a huge understatement, and we as a family are truly devastated.

As you can probably understand, we have tried our best to celebrate over the Christmas period for Marcus's children, Huxley 4, Ava-Grace 3 and step daughter Alicia 5 however we were all very numb and heartbroken with the empty space in our hearts.

Marcus was a cheeky chappy with the most amazing laughter and personality. He was a kind-hearted soul who would literally do anything for anyone.

Marcus was admitted to York hospital on the 8th of December with a high temperature and feeling very unwell. After examination and blood tests, it was confirmed that Marcus had a horrible infection, cellulitis in both of his hands. Marcus was treated with medication intravenously for six days to help with both his high temperature and infection. Marcus was then discharged from York hospital on the 14th December with oral antibiotics and pain relief. Within 24 hours of being home, we realised that as a family, we were feeling unwell. With tests, it was confirmed that we all had Covid 19. This, on top of fighting an infection, was simply too much for Marcus's weak body. Marcus fell asleep for the last time...

Who knew how expensive funerals are, especially in these hard times. We are looking as a family to raise £3000 to celebrate the wonderful life of Marcus and to give him the celebration that he truly deserves.

It's so very difficult to ask strangers for help, but we are really struggling to do this on our own as a family. We would very much appreciate any kind donations.
