In Loving Memory of Maria F. Beas Ortiz

Donation protected
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Maria F. Beas Ortiz, a cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and dear friend. Maria left this world on June 21, 2023, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 78 years old.

Maria's journey with Alzheimer's began several years ago and she was incredibly strong over that time—so much so, that our family and doctors weren’t expecting her health to rapidly deteriorate as quickly as it did. Despite her worsening health, her spirit remained resilient. She faced each day with grace, strength, and a heart of gold that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her unwavering love and unwavering dedication to our family were the pillars that held them together during these difficult times.

Born on March 13, 1945, Maria embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She was a source of comfort, support, and endless love for her children and grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Maria's kindness and compassion extended beyond her immediate family; she was a friend to all, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.

In the face of personal hardships, our family now faces the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of not only our beloved matriarch but also the challenges of supporting her husband (my dad), who is currently battling an aggressive form of cancer. In light of this incredibly difficult situation, our family kindly requests any monetary help or donations to assist with the overwhelming funeral expenses. Your generosity and support during this trying time would be greatly appreciated and it can be directed through this GoFundMe page or to myself, Maria Ortiz (her daughter).

My mom will be remembered as a woman of immense love, strength, and resilience. Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends whose lives she enriched. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us honor her legacy by embracing the values she held dear—kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. Rest in peace, Mom, knowing that your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

We love you!
