Our Story
Welcome to our fundraiser for Maria Pew Family Foundation ~ Maria's Voice.
As many of you know, Maria Pew was murdered April 30th, 2020 in an act of domestic violence. Maria was a daughter, friend, cousin, niece and mom to Rocky, her 90 pound goofy black lab. She is missed by all who knew her and now know her story. Because of Maria's murder, a hurting community seeks to change the grim reality of domestic violence plaguing our nation. Maria's family harnessed their hurt and created Maria Pew Family Foundation in her honor.
Mission
Maria's Voice inspires to Save, Change, and Heal Lives of those impacted by domestic violence.
Our Goals
From our experience of losing our beloved Maria, several legal and community gaps were identified. Here are just a few programs that Maria’s Voice needs your help to launch!
~ Maria's Voice will Save Lives through innovative and effective programs to speak directly to all age groups about loving relationships vs dangerous relationships, for example--We are working on a Children’s book in the voice of Rocky, Maria’s Goofy Black-Lab.
~ Maria's Voice will Change Lives by advocating for victim-centered reporting in the media. No more stories from an offender perspective. Maria's Voice celebrates life. We will work hard to change old narrative with media companies.
~ Maria's Voice will Heal Lives by connecting families and first responders to healing resources. Our family learned first-hand through the long and painful walk after the loss of a loved one and we will help to ensure that no one walks alone.
We Need Your Help
Many people have asked the question, "What can I do to help?" Our hope is that you will be inspired to donate as we change the outcomes of domestic violence together. Maria’s Voice is already bringing organizations together that want to SAVE, CHANGE, and HEAL LIVES. Your generous donation will support these efforts. Maria’s Voice will benefit families, loved ones, and first responders who need healing support.

We have filed as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization and our tax exempt status is in process of finalization with the IRS for 2020. Our EIN is 85-1121338. Donations will be acknowledged via letter and are tax deductible in accordance to IRS laws.
