Marissa (Rausin) Linderman, 25, is a talented makeup artist and hair stylist in Temecula who loves her family, her friends, and her animals. She was originally diagnosed with Stage III Melanoma in 2010 and after multiple surgeries and a variety of treatments she was deemed in remission in 2012.
Unfortunately, the beginning of 2015 brought bad news that the cancer had returned in a more aggressive form, Stage IV Melanoma. She was immediately rushed into surgery to remove a grapefruit sized tumor In her abdomen. Since the surgery Marissa has spent the majority of the last two months hospitalized.
It was only this past week that the oncologists took a risk and started her on a new oral form of a targeted treatment that focuses on shrinking tumors without compromising the immune system. Several Stage IV Melanoma patients have seen positive results from this new drug.
Many people have asked the family how they can best help in this situation. In addition to your continued prayers , our goal is to raise as much money as possible to take the financial burden off of Marissa, her husband Brian , and her parents Randy and Terri , allowing them to focus solely on Marissa's health. Every gift is appreciated and will make a difference.
We know that this will be a long and difficult journey but we are hopeful that this treatment along with the loving support of her family and friends will result in a cancer free diagnosis!!
