Raising money for The Beaches (medical costs)

Friends and family,

Introduction:

A quick reminder that I am Samantha Bondy, the sister of Theresa Beach, sister-in-law of Mark Beach. Let me start by saying that my brother, Mark, is amazing! And continues to demonstrate to me what it truly means to live a life worthy of a calling that Christ has given him. And to live a life that demonstrates Christs' love! I am so proud of him, and the way that he continues to allow God to use him, for others!

What we are raising money for:

*As many of you are aware, in April of 2021, Mark contracted COVID-19 and spent one year and four months in the ICU and Complex Care units of St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton. While Mark has been able to make it back home (in August of 2022), there have been ongoing challenges with home care, his mobility and general stability of finances (especially as it relates to supplemental medical costs that are not covered by insurances). About a week ago, Mark and Theresa learned that Mark is unlikely to gain any further strength or mobility in his arms and legs (only exacerbating the already challenging situation at home).

While both Mark and Theresa have been significantly and wonderfully supported by so many individuals, businesses and churches this past year, the challenges in providing for their monthly finances continues to be a heavy burden for them. Given Marks (now established) ongoing needs for home-based medical equipment, wheelchairs, and medical appointments, all of the livelihood costs of this are leaving Mark and Theresa slightly behind every single month in their expenses. All in all: the lack of financial support for medical things is leaving them in debt.

With such a long road to ongoing recovery, we are hoping as family of Christ that we will be able to rally around them once again, to help fill the serious gap they are facing in their finances. It continues to be a heavy burden for both of them to carry, and we want to stand with them, and continue to help in every way we can!

What will be done with your donations:

I am hoping that we can be big dreamers here, and raise a minimum of $25,000 for Mark and Theresa to be able to cover this gap in medical expenses at least for the next several months to one year. In doing so, they will be able to 100% focus on Mark's ongoing recovery and to avoid extra stress filling up their minds (like "how will we afford to repair the wheelchair this month?").

We have already been so moved by the community that surrounds Mark and Theresa and your meaningful commitment to prayer and support. Our gratitude for work done already by those of you in this community of family, friends and believers, can never be expressed by words. And so we say THANK YOU already for everything you have done. We have been so moved by the love of Christ that has been demonstrated through every one of you!
