Hope for Marylynn Miller

My name is Joanne Foley. I met Marylynn Miller in 2008 while I was selling the Capriana condos in Ormond Beach, Fl. We have been friends ever since. She is a very caring woman who would give her shirt off her back to help anyone, especially the homeless, animals and the elderly.
In 2006, Marylynn's Mom passed suddenly, and she made the decision to leave her home and her Private Piano Studio in NJ to move to Ormond Beach and care for her Dad who had cancer. She, like me, had a few friends, and we connected on a personal level while she was looking to downsize her Dad and herself to a condominium. They never were able to purchase the condo, as her Dad's health deteriorated making it difficult to make a change. He finally passed in 2011. Since that time, Marylynn has struggled to build a Piano Studio and also earn a living as an exercise instructor, barely making enough to survive and purchase health insurance.
In March, Marylynn started having pain in her chest and back, and couldn't swallow. She finally signed up for the cheapest insurance offered under Obamacare. After multiple tests, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer that is moving into her esophagus. I was shocked since she is very organic and holistic, teaches Yoga at Gold's Gym, and eats right, She is that type of woman.
So now the reason for my gofundme request. Marylynn was told this past August that treatment for her cancer would be chemo, followed by removing her stomach, followed by chemo with only a 30-40% chance of survival. She was also told that she needed to have a feeding port immediately. She wanted a second opinion, but unfortunately, her insurance only covers Volusia County and she has been unable to be approved for second opinions at Mayo and other Cancer Centers.
As she is very health conscious, she began researching and put herself on a liquid diet with multiple-expensive supplements which have sustained her until this day, although she has lost a great deal of weight.
Through her research, Marylynn discovered that Chemo/Radiation only destroys your immune system, killing both the good and bad cells. Since she has lost so much weight, she feels she would never survive the type of treatment prescribed by the doctors. Also, removing her stomach would not only cause multiple complications and a very lengthy recovery period, with no assurance of getting all the cancer. For these reasons, and because she needs to continue to work as much as she can, she has elected to try to cure herself naturally with the aid of Holistic Practicioners and prayers from her friends.
She has chosen to go to Hippocrates Institute in West Palm Beach on November2nd to learn how to live with cancer, boost her immune system, and hopefully become cancer free using a different protocols other than the traditional chemo/surgery. The program is extremely costly (approximately $20,000) and she will be depleting her savings to go. She has little money and will have none shortly.
Marylynn just celebrated her 59th birthday, and I would like to be able to celebrate her 60th, along with her friends that love her. She is financially alone in this battle as she is single . It's her against the world. She would like to be able to get better health insurance and be able to purchase the supplements she needs to stay strong and fight this awful disease. Please help with her these expenses .
