Helping Katie Domke following the passing of Matthew Carrier

Matthew Paul Carrier, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 26 in the home he shared with his fiancé, Katie.

In 2018, Matthew met the love of his life, Katie A. Domke; and the two shared years of adventure, laughter, concerts and the everyday, small elements of life that bring us such joy. As thoughtful and intentional as he was, Matthew asked Katie to marry him in 2023 while the two were traveling to England and Scotland – a part of the world special to his Katie. The two were to be married on October 19, 2024 in Ferndale, Mich. Though each was already considered family, Matthew and Katie’s families each admired their loved one’s partner, and very much looked forward to celebrating their wedding and joining their families.

The family and loved ones of Matthew and Katie as well as MSUWC Local 105 have started this GoFundMe to assist Katie (Matthew's fiance) with those new finances (bills, mortgage, etc) two people take on when they anticipate spending the rest of their lives together. Matt and Katie had recently purchased a home together and split their expenses between both incomes. We are hoping to raise money to make this time a little less difficult for Katie by not having to worry about these types of expenses at this point in time.
